The Montiggler Lakes and their environment have a special fascination at every time of the year.
In
spring the flowers out in blossom earlier than elsewhere in South Tyrol. This is the very best time to visit the "Frühlingstal" (Spring Valley) in the Montiggler Forest.
In
summer there is shade and swimming to be found around the lake, while the calendar is filled with innumerable cultural, musical and fun events.
The
autumn sees the land transformed into a blaze of colours. Wine, its architecture and associated events are the highlights of this season. You should in no circumstances miss a “
törggelen” evening featuring new wine, typical South Tyrolean specialities and roasted chestnuts.
Even in
winter there is a mysterious, romantic atmosphere around the Montiggler Lake and the surrounding villages. Far from the shopping frenzy of the cities, your attention will turn to the spiritual side of the forthcoming festive season.
