My Seehotel Sparer

Here I feel (naturally) well

Sometimes, I dream of my house at the lake. Of my holiday home, which is located far away from mass tourism, but very close to nature. Because calming forests and refreshing waters allow me to forget everyday life and to regain new energy. And that is very important nowadays. In the forest of Monticolo, more exactly at the Monticolo Lake at the South Tyrolean Wine Street, I found a place like this: the Cologna Family’s Seehotel (Lake Hotel). It’s the only hotel situated directly at the lake and never stops to surprise me. Here, I can be exactly who I am. Here, I can enjoy the peace and the harmony, feel well in the new rooms and suites, and enjoy Mediterranean delicacies, which are made of organic, South Tyrolean quality products. Here, I found my very personal (and sustainable) refuge!

My day at the lake …

A good start

…to the day begins at the Seehotel Sparer with a delicious breakfast at the terrace or in the cosy dining hall. With the direct view of the vivid green lake, I want to be active already in the morning. “Out into nature – right into an incredible holiday experience”, let’s say. Sometimes, I choose yoga at the lake, because the scenery is stunning, and Melanie and Daniel know everything about the different Asanas (body postures).

Out into nature

On other days, I want to explore the Monticolo forest and its surroundings on foot or by bike: during a pleasant hike or a guided bike tour with guide Patrick. Of course, if I don’t want to sweat too much, I can also rent an e-bike for that. Hmm, life can be so beautiful!

This is our philosophy at Seehotel Sparer. It’s all about living a light, authentic, and sustainable holiday.

Less is more. Walking barefoot, inhaling the fresh forest air, and enjoying the view of the Monticolo Lake. Having space, enjoying the freedom, and following the own rhythm.

In my family-run hotel at the Monticolo Lake, responsibility plays a big role: “Be the change you wish for in the world.” I love this concept.

Sustainability

What does that look like exactly? In our kitchen, we use fresh, regional, and sustainable products whenever possible. The whole hotel handles its resources efficiently and responsibly and we get green electricity from 90% renewable sources. And for all jobs that need be done in and around the hotel, we hire local craftsmen. We are a great example, aren’t we?
